This app is a game-changer for me!
I’ve always wanted to be a more active climate citizen, but it was difficult. Not anymore! With the push of three buttons I’ve completed a call. I can do five actions in as many minutes. In the first six days of using the app, I’ve contacted my State Senator 52 times and planted four trees. Most importantly, he signed on as a co-sponsor of a bill I recommended!

I have always been a very reluctant caller when it comes to contacting elected officials about bills under consideration. The Climate Action Now (CAN) app changed that overnight. I call at least one elected official every day. The CAN app has removed all friction from the process as far as I am concerned. To take just one example, I got a call from Congressman Antonia Delgado’s office the other day to discuss my environmental concerns because I have been leaving messages for him using the CAN app.

I was just taking my first actions!:). I love the various approaches that educate me as to local and national initiatives, and taking action is so easy. The biggest challenge to my regular activism is limited time, and the Climate Action Now App makes it easy to schedule daily action that takes little time to make a big impact.

Even if you have only a few minutes a day to take action, this app helps you make a difference by advocating for solutions to the urgent crisis of climate change. Makes Climate Action Simple and Fun
I’m addicted to this app. I’ve always wanted to be a more active climate citizen, and this app makes it so easy! With 3 pushes of a button, I’ve completed a call to action. It can be tough for me to find some climate hope sometimes, but this app recommends tailored actions or opportunities to learn every day. Helps you know what to say when bringing up these important issues with politicians too. There is hope in action, and this is a great first step.

Of the similar apps and email lists I’ve tried and subscribed to, I think Climate Action Now will be one of the best methods for real traction among its users and feel that that could result in actual systemic change. The hardest part about taking climate action in knowing where to target your efforts. This app does a phenomenal job of directing the user to act on relevant information, petitions, and sending emails / tweets. The only thing it needs to make a real impact is more users!

Wow. For months I have been doing extensive research on how to get involved in climate activism, struggling to organize my own actions. It felt messy and inefficient. Finding this app changed that. It gives you tons of resources to contact your representatives and let your voice be heard. It is organizable and impactful. It is great for busy activists who don’t have time to help the climate, or may not be so passionate about it but still want to help. I suggest any young person get this app if they want to make a difference.

It makes civic action too easy to put off, and you still have total freedom in choosing which actions to take and how to word your messages. There is a wide range of actions, mostly using email but also lots connecting you to online letters, petitions, and so much more. PLUS they PLANT A TREE for every 3000 points you earn by partnering with tree-planting organizations!! It’s incredibly well organized, well thought out, and easy to use.

How It Works
The Climate Action Now app makes it exceptionally easy to take meaningful climate action on your phone in just seconds or minutes. Most actions you take earn points, and when you’ve earned enough points, we’ll plant a tree on your behalf.
Planting trees is always a good thing. As trees grow they remove carbon dioxide from the air, storing the carbon in the trees and soil, and releasing oxygen into the atmosphere. But our tree planting partner goes beyond simple reforestation and benefits local populations, saving lives and livelihoods.
Save a life because our tree planting partner, Eden Reforestation Projects, focuses on underdeveloped and impoverished regions of the world.
Save a life because Eden uses an “employ to plant” strategy, restoring the environment but also providing needed jobs so the local economy can grow.
Save a life because with restoration of farming, animal habitat and more job opportunities, extreme poverty decreases and people gain opportunity and empowerment.
Earn a tree when you’ve earned enough badges. (You earn a badge on any day in which you earn at least 1,000 points.)
Earn a tree when a friend downloads the Climate Action Now app at your recommendation and takes an action.
Earn a tree when you complete a “streak” of climate actions, such as calling your U.S. Representative 10 days in a row.
