Petition the EPA to save Bristol Bay
- December 6, 2020
Dear Environmental Protection Agency,
We are a group of American citizens who are very concerned about climate change.
We call on the EPA to permanently veto the Pebble Mine Project. The Army Corps of Engineers recently rejected the Pebble Mine project, noting that that the proposed open-pit gold and copper mega-mine poses “unavoidable adverse impacts” to the water and marine life of Alaska’s Bristol Bay. However, the project is still up for consideration. We are in a climate emergency and cannot afford to lose this precious ecosystem. Thank you for your time.
