No matter how climate-conscious we are, it’s virtually impossible for most of us to eliminate our emissions through lifestyle changes alone. We must do more to reverse our excess lifestyle emissions.
That’s where our Trees for Life program comes in. Choose how many trees you need to plant based on your lifestyle, and you’ll walk a little more lightly on the planet — your trees sequester an ever-increasing amount of carbon while restoring soil, providing habitat, and providing a livelihood for people less fortunate than us.
Your trees are never harvested or traded. They’re planted and protected by local farmers under contract with the Kenyan Forest Service, and live out their natural lives — a vibrant, living forest to replace one that was destroyed by previous generations. Learn more about our program.

How does it work?
- Place your order. Complete and submit the order form above. If this is a gift, enter your friend’s name and email along with a personal message. See sample.
- We purchase the trees. At the beginning of each calendar quarter, we purchase the promised number of trees from Earthlungs.
- The trees are planted. Subsistence farmers in Kenya restore the forests with indigenous species. Read our interview with Victor Mwanga, leader of Earthlungs.
- The trees live out their natural lives. Drawing carbon from the atmosphere as they grow, and creating habitat for countless species.
- We publish confirmation. A public record shows that we made the promised purchases.
