Climate Action Now Coalition Members
Elders Climate Action is a non-partisan organization mobilizing elder generations to address climate change for the well-being of future generations. Founded in 2014 as part of the Elders Action Network, ECA leverages the compassion, wisdom, and influence of its members to advocate for strong climate policies and support youth-led climate movements. Through education, advocacy, and collaboration, ECA strives to create a sustainable future.
The Western New York Chapter of the Climate Reality Project was formed in 2020 to address the unique environmental concerns of the Great Lakes/Rust Belt cities of Buffalo, Niagara Falls, and Rochester and the suburbs and rural areas in-between. They work to move the region further towards a green economy, protect waterways, rebuild wetlands, advocate for environmental protections, and educate communities about environmental issues.
The Climate Action Now team at the Greenfield Presbyterian Church in Michigan was formed when a small group of Greenfielders decided that stopping climate change should be a priority for their church. Although the team members’ motivations for action vary, they are united in purpose as individuals who care deeply about the urgent threat that climate change poses to humans, creatures, and all of the living systems that sustain our amazing planet. Through their work in the church and the community, they aim to raise awareness about climate change as a pressing issue for every individual and organization. Their goal is to help each person find their best way to help stop the overheating of our planet.
Act Now Bay Area is committed to turning “climate concern” into meaningful climate actions that help accelerate the transition to electrification and dramatically reduce the region’s reliance on fossil fuels in the sectors that matter most: energy, transportation, and buildings. Act Now Bay Area connects the general public, small- to medium-sized businesses, and local governments to the information, local resources, and curated climate solutions – through our website, regional programs, strategic social media, and trusted outreach partnerships – to educate, inspire, and implement solutions that will achieve ambitious reductions in the Bay Area’s greenhouse gas emissions.
Green Ossining is a community-based group in Ossining, NY. They aim to promote environmental sustainability community-wide, and develop practical methods that protect natural resources.
The Central Alabama Chapter of the Climate Reality Project was founded in 2023 by a small group of trained Climate Reality leaders. Since their launch in November 2023, the chapter has grown from a small founding group into a vibrant community of over 50 members across Alabama, all united by their commitment to addressing climate change and building a sustainable future for Alabama.
The Climate Crisis Working Group of Moore County is a local environmental group working together to bring awareness and education about fossil fuels and the impacts they have on the Earth. The RSL team focuses on the advancement of environmental justice principles, peer-to-peer education, program planning and evaluation, and providing a sense of place and belonging to enact meaningful, sustainable change within the Cornell community.
