ORGANIZE. MOBILIZE. WIN!

We’re living through one of the most tumultuous chapters in recent political history, and last Monday was no exception. Just one day after Biden’s withdrawal, Harris surged into the spotlight, earning enough endorsements to secure the Democratic nomination and raising a record-breaking $81 million dollars in just 24 hours. But that wasn’t the only record shattered: Monday was also the hottest day EVER recorded on Earth.

American politics are in constant flux, but one thing remains painfully clear: Our planet is in a climate crisis.

The Biden-Harris administration laid crucial groundwork for our planet’s future, from passing the historic Inflation Reduction Act to launching the American Climate Corps to pausing exports of super-warming LNG. But the work is not done. Despite these significant achievements and substantial emissions reductions, we’re still a long way from halving our emissions by 2030 and achieving net-zero by 2050.

The upcoming election is not just another race; it’s perhaps the last opportunity to mitigate the worst of the climate crisis and assert American leadership in building a greener, more sustainable world. Now, more than ever, we need a climate champion in the Oval Office.

For climate advocates, the choice couldn’t be clearer. On one side, Big Oil’s handpicked candidate Donald Trump has pledged to “DRILL, BABY, DRILL.” On the other stands Vice President Harris with a proven track record of protecting our planet and communities.

As District Attorney, she pioneered one of the first environmental justice legal units in any public law office. As California’s Attorney General, she took Chevron and VP to court to protect communities from environmental harm. As a Senator, she introduced the Climate Equity Act, which laid the foundation for the equity investments in the Inflation Reduction Act. As Vice President, Harris has overseen more climate action than any other administration in history, including casting the tie-breaking vote for the Inflation Reduction Act.

As Hillary Clinton said in recent essay, “The time for hand-wringing is over. Now it’s time to organize, mobilize, and win.”

Kamala Harris is our climate champion. Let’s get her elected!
